Re: 2009 IRI- Who has applied?
Those who have applied...

According to Fultz's IRI white paper, invites will go out May 12th (one week from today). I think that we had 102 applications in '07 and 97 apps in '08. We may set a new high mark this year. Thanks to all. Andy B. |

Re: 2009 IRI- Who has applied?
I count 20 Indiana teams. That means we're missing 10. As state hosts, I believe we need a perfect 30/30 attending to welcome our out-of-state (and country) brethren and sistren(?).

Re: 2009 IRI- Who has applied?
do indiana teams get a automatic invite if they apply?

Seriously, the methods the IRI staff use to decide who to invite and who not to invite is a closely guarded secret, and it often changes year-to-year. |
Re: 2009 IRI- Who has applied?
If anybody tried to register for IRI this morning, you may have received a message saying not more applications will be accepted. This was a mistake. I had inadvertantly put the incorrect time to close the form. Registration will close today at 6:00pm. Please don't wait until the last minute to sign up! Email us at pc [at] indianaroboticsinvitational.org if you have any probmems.
Thanks, -DK |

I think that one or two more have applied this morning, but my latest info is from last night (Thursday). Andy |
Re: 2009 IRI- Who has applied?
Man, this anticipation is killing me. A weekend until they announce the 72 teams and I won't have classwork to distract me!
(not like it's ever suceeded at distracting me from robotics but I digress) Is anyone dreaming up any giant mods for IRI? I've got some new strategies and possibly some code changes in mind for our team, but nothing structural, yet. I'm dreaming of a corner load autonomous to throw 4 more balls into our feeder, and if my measurements are right (they're not) an empty cell loader in the front. |
