I don't agree with some of the stuff at the end, but the statistics were a bit shocking |

WOW, I like it, there could be a possibility to use some of these statistics for a commercial at our school!!

Some of thise are 'fake' statistics, in that they appear to convey a certain piece of information, but really do not.
For example, "The 25% of India's population with the highest IQs" is exactly the same as saying "25% of India's population". So, what they are saying is that India has a population more than four times as great as the USA. OMG! What a revalation! Or that China has 1.3 billion citizens. And almost 25% of them have some English in school. China will never be an English-speaking country in our lifetimes; they speak Chinese. But they might have a lot of people who "speak" chinese, just like you "speak" spanish or french after 2 years of it in High School. and so on. |

This doesn't have much to do with the presentation, except that some of the statistics about China and India (the two countries with the largest populations in the world) are presented with the implication that numbers matter. The viewer is left with the impression that the US, with the third-largest world population and one of the highest birth rates in the industrialized world, is at a huge disadvantage. This may or may not be true, but the facts presented don't necessarily back up this implication.
One of the fascinating issues neglected by this presentation are the growing problems in China with a declining population (due to the "one child" policy) and selective abortion leaving them with a large surplus of males.
