According to this article http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satelli...cle%2FShowFull, the Israeli Defense Forces are developing a battlefield robotic snake! Click on the link to the TV coverage. Even if you can't understand the Hebrew, you can see the snake in operation!

One of our FIRST alumni, Leav, an ME student at the Technion, is developing the control algorithms for the robot. Leav is also one of our FTA's in Israel.
