No, it isn't. You'd think that both methods would be somewhat random, perhaps using the second letter of your user name even more so, but for some reason it's terribly lopsided.

I would say that it's because it's more likely that people have vowels as the second letter of their user name and all of the vowels (except for sometimes y) are on Team A.

That's probably not the only reason but probably contributory.

Before the rule change to using the second letter of the username, the score was like a million to one for team B. Since the rule change, I believe this is the first win and it goes to team A.
