Ah, but the last time we won, it was not with the top post. This situation is different, comparing an orange to an apple. now the score should be 450 or 480 depending on whether rollover is legal or not.

Edit: in response to Burmeister, the count went below on rtfgnow's post. Therefore, the next post (team A) would have reset the count to 500, and then added 5. This post would have made it 510, and the next two (Billfred and yourself) would have brought it down to 500 even. If Rick's post counts, then the score is 495 at this time.

Now, do you want to a) restart the way the thread now has it, b) restart the way you're supposed to when zero or 1000 is reached, or c) restart at 20 and have A ruin your point? Hmm? If we're into rules wrangling, please note that this contingency is not covered in the rules, and was therefore either a) missed or b) thought to be uncommon enough that no rule would be needed, as such things could be handled when they came up.

the first post on this page should be 0 and the second one should be restart, as was done here and here when B first scored, therefore the current score of 475 is incorrect. the error was made by rtfgnow so per the rules we restart at 20 which was called in the previous post.

Now you're just lawyering. What makes you think the reset was done properly before? How about a new rule:

Whenever the score drops below 0 or goes above 1000, the score is set to 500 and a new game begins.

This clarifies what is obviously a confusing point in the current rules.

(Wow, this could get as tedious and complex as the annual FRC rules wrangling, couldn't it?)

The rollover does not exist. It is pretty well covered in the rules, I think.

Post #601 should have been zero, otherwise B can't score.
