The pits are located in a small gym about 50' from the main gym. The pits are approx 12'x12' with a 6' table and power strip. Standard FIRST safety practices are to be followed: safety glasses worn at all times, no open-toed shoes, no grinding or open flames, etc.

Teams can load-in on Friday evening, though the tables may not arrive until 8 pm. Doors close at 9 pm on Friday and re-open at 8 am on Saturday.

Other events have done 2v2 Lunacy with auto-deployed Supercells and no center human player. Personally I'd put two empty cells at the far Human Player and two Super Cells at the near human player and allow conversion by passing the cell under the air lock or something...

Congrats to 1538 399 980, but also to all the teams that competed. It's too bad there was no webcast.

Also, this is my 100th post!

Thanks to Dave Brinza, Chris Hussman, Terry, the SCRRF, the WRRF, and everyone else who made this event possible. It was well done. We had a great time.

One suggestion for next year would be to rent a couple fans to circulate the air a bit more in the gym.

Thanks again everyone!

Ok I believe these were the awards that were won by the teams. If there are any corrections to be made please do so. We definitely had a great time at the event! Thanks to 1538 and 980 (our alliance partners) and all the volunteers that made this happen. It was nice to retire our robot and go out like this after such an eventful year.

Team Spirit = 2404

Most Creative Robot = 330

Highest Quality Robot = 968

Most Effective Design = 399

Peer Favorite Robot = 973

Judges' Award = 1538

We had a great time. We brought about 14 new kids and this was a great event to expose them to FIRST.

Thanks to 399 and 980 for being such great alliance partners. You guys rocked!

Congrats to 973, 968 and 1160 on being finalists. You guys were a scary alliance to face in the finals and definitely kept us on our feet the whole time.

We would be happy to have the Fall Classic in a place with air-conditioning if some team will find one and volunteer to host. Maybe they would even have network access in their gym that would allow a web cast.

Thanks to Dave and the rest of SCRRF for letting me help out this year. It was amazing fun, even without A/C (and having to water-cool my computer near the end!) Congratulations to the winning alliance 1538, 399, & 980. I hope that next year will be even bigger and cooler (pun intended)!

Does anyone have pictures from the event? If so, can you post a link here so we all can see them? Thanks!
