Congrats to Barry Bonzack
 

I tried to post in a previous thread titled "Congrats to Barry Bonzack" but it has since been closed. Mods, feel free to merge this post with the old one while reopening it if you feel that is necessary.

Barry is graduating today from the University of Central Florida with a Finance Major and a Certificate of Investments from the College of Business Administration as well as the Burnett Honors College. He is graduating with the highest GPA in the in the College of Business and is being given the College Top Honor Graduate award and has been invited to sit on the platform for the commencement ceremony.

Recently Barry and a group of 5 students won the Great Capstone Case Competition, a strategic management competition that represents the accumulation of knowledge gained while attend the UCF College of Business. He has also completed and internship and accepted a full time offer at Lockheed Martin.

Please join me once again congratulating Barry Bonzack for all of his accomplishments, and an outstanding college career.

Congratulations Barry!

Wow, with all of the accomplishments and honors you have it will be hard for anyone else to top that! Good luck at your future job with Lockheed Martin.:)

Congrats Barry!!! I knew those years of hard work would pay off.. who would have ever thought that weird kid with the umbrella hat I met all those years ago handing out business cards would be doing so well now :)

Congrats Barry (& thank-you Bethany for spreading the news). Barry's academic achievements are even more outstanding when coupled with his commitment to NEMO & the FIRST program. He's succeeded at the most important "Bonzack Challenge", coming up with educational honors & valuable life skills. I suspect he is an accomplished juggler (if not of objects, then with priorities)! Great Job!

Great news! You know, business people are just as valuable as FIRST volunteers (sometimes even more so) than engineers.......A lot of teams would be lucky to have you as a mentor.

I would like to thank all for their kind words and support over the years. While college gave me an education and helped me become a more well rounded person, I feel that FIRST has done the most to prepare me for a career.

During the commencement, I was presented with a medal for the accomplishments. As they called my name to accept the honor, they invited family and friends to stand. I was able to share the moment with those that have supported me most, my mother, father, grandparents, brother, and special friend, but I wanted to make sure that many many more were represented as well.

Everyone here is able take honor in this with me, because I have been inspired by mentors, students, and the entire FIRST community. This inspiration drove me to take pride in my work, and take academics seriously.

I'd like to give a special thanks to the 1902 students and the Coleman family for decorating my mortarboard, the time spent on it is an equal honor to me as any other award given this year.
