Safety Animation 2010

Has anyone started thinking of what they might do? I know it's early and all, with the theme not even being released until october, but I'm looking at past years' guidelines, and they're sort of similar. I think my team is at least going to work on characters and a general idea.

yes! YES!!!! Work on characters early, model them, rig them. Get them all ready to go for animation! Good job! Now if every team was like you.

Lol, thanks. This is actually going to be my first "official" year, even though I helped out last year as an 8th grader. The reason I want to start early is because all of our other animations (safety, visualization, VEX design challenge) have all been done in the course of a week or two. I know we can do better if we start earlier, so that's what I want to do.

Even though I have the will, I don't exactly have the way. I'm still learning 3ds, and the current safety theme has not been released. So is there anything else I might be able to do to be prepared for when the theme is actually released? I'm just wondering since it's summer and there's not much to do.

I will tell you right now, If you want to be rocking at animation and blow everyone out of the water. You need to learn drawing.
