1 Segway -1 wheel = something new ::safety::
one thing about inventing is that it can spurs others into thinking

Have fun,

I rode a similar vehicle at kick off this year - same concept, different inventor. It was a lot of fun, but the pegs kept threatening to break my ankles. With training I think I could have gotten it eventually, but dang it if it didn't hurt! ;)

I'll bet if you kept your feet on TOP of the pegs, instead of below them, your ankles would have fared better? (yeah, easy for me to say)

Its a chicken-egg problem. To put your feet on the pegs, you have to not need your feet on the floor to keep you from falling sideways. To not fall sideways sans feet, you need enough forward momentum (and skill). The few times I got it running, I was fine (until a wall came).

That's kinda what I figured. I guess being in a large, open area, free of obstacles, would speed up the learning curve?
