What is this thing?

OK, I know there is an ap for your phone where you can get the name of a song and the artist by sampling it while it is playing. Is there anything like that for pictures  ?
When we bought this house last year, this thing was under the sink. I can't figure out what it is for. The supports are telescoping so you can adjust the size, and the 3 pieces on top just snap on and can be moved around. I've looked around at Walmart and Target and don't see anything like it.

Anyone know what it is?

My best assumption would be a frame that holds up a sink, or something like that.

Those black additions at the corners of the frame couldve held wheels, which in that case of could be some kind of transport, but I would have no idea what it could move.
>_>

I'd go with the sink support idea...

Never heard of such an app.

I'd think it was some kind of shelf thingus, but what odd brackets at the top...

If you stand it up vertically, small shelves slide in and out between the top parts of the frame.

I figured that's what they used it for, but it seems awfully complex for that. Not sure why there is so much adjustability in the length when there are only 3 inserts - it will double in size when fully telescoped.

Gary,
There was a hamper like this a while ago. The frame held three mesh bags so that you could pre sort when you took you clothes off. If you only had two or one bag then the frame could be adjusted for your needs or closet size.

Are those slots about the size of a piece of printer paper? Maybe the bags beneath are missing, but it was a recycling bin for three different kinds of paper? (white, color, and I dunno, greenbar)?

Or a recycling bin for other items...aluminum, plastic, paper, glass, etc. I can see where something like that would come in handy.

I'd go with the 'the bags are just missing' assumption. Find some bags, get them on there, and use it to sort whatever you please [:

We have one too, and some of the ideas posted made me lol, but now I guess I should sereos.

Its a shelf for under your sink, and its quite handy, especially in older homes where the space under the sink is rather nasty. It can telescope because not everyone has the same size gap under their sink, and the panels are removable to make room for the drain pipes, and the frame has all those holes so you can adjust the height if the shelves. The only problem is if those three are the only shelf pieces you have, it won't do a whole lot of good. You could probably make your own shelf pieces with scrap metal, wood, or whatever.

But you could make it a recycling bin too, I guess.

Thanks Richard - that makes alot of sense for the adjustability. There were only the 3 pieces with it; not sure how many it started with.

I guess I can get rid of it now; I couldn't bare to part with it until I learned what it was.

Now that I know what to search for ("under sink shelf", duh!), I've found them all over the place. Target.com has one (I had looked in the local store but not online) that looks just like mine.
