Re: Google Wave

Haha, the whole "email a wave" idea made me think about what would happen if you were sent an email for each update. That would be funny to see!

I don't use it much for real use, but for casual group chat it's fine

Re: Google Wave

I believe that just like Gmail, Gtalk (in Gmail), Facebook, and Twitter that it will become more popular and used instead of e-mail.

For me personally gtalk in gmail has replaced the need for having a dedicated instant messaging client like Aim, Yahoo, or MSN.

The biggest problem Google Wave faces right now is the fact that no one has Google Wave accounts. My guess is that in the future Google Wave will be able to communicate with e-mail clients but wont be able to take advantage of its fully feature set. This will allow for people to fully switch over to google wave as their main form of communication rather then typical e-mail. or there is the possibility that all gmail accounts could be turned into google wave account and then you have a huge user base.

Just a note here is a tutorial on using twitter in Google Wave:

Re: Google Wave

With all of these recent wave invites, surely we can have a live kickoff discussion?

Re: Google Wave

I know I only offered to a couple of people, but I do have 21 invites currently, so I can give those out in addition to what's already been offered.

If we are going to have a wave kickoff discussion (count me in), can someone create a new thread so this one isn't clogged up.

I've set up a (kinda small) Kickoff wave. The people who posted their usernames SHOULD be in it. If not, can you tell me?
