Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
"So, yellow means go really, really fast, right?"
"No, it means that we've been too aggressive." "But there aren't any other robots around!" "That's because you tipped three-quarters of them over already." "Oh." |

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
And the parade was disrupted when the sensor saw the yellow light, and the robot changed from "Drive Straight" to "Turn Left". The crowd scattered.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
"Little Robbie", the 2009 robot did not make it into the intersection before the light turned yellow. Little Robbie was never seen again. *sniff*

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
Autonomous robot meets traffic light:
Robot: Okay, I've seen pink on green. Red on green, okay, maybe. But with a yellow in between? This is the weirdest vision target I've ever seen! What kind of trailer am I following? Ah, the heck with this. There's a really good-looking robot on the other side of the street. Time to work some magic. *drives off* Drivers: I guess the cRIO is so powerful that it gives the robot a mind of its own. Holy mackerel. |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
Ok kids, make sure that fishing line doesn't break or the robot is going into the bay.
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
The robot can keep up because it's got speed holes.
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
The Tribe goes on to prove that their robot really did have the pulling power they claimed by pulling and entire Memorial Day Parade.
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280

Student: "Don't look now but we are being followed and it doesn't look friendly."

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
Robot: “Hey, move it! Beep, beep, beep!
You drive like an Edsel. Move it! Honk! Honk! Hey you make me miss the light again and I’m late for work. Beep, beep! What’s the matter, you can find the gas pedal? Beeeeeeep!” Student on the truck: “This year our robot pick up some really bad driving habits after going to the NYC Regional! “ |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
237 just couldn't seem to score on one trailer in particular; the alleged "non-regulation wheels" were to be named the cause by some. Others simply said, "Please dude, don't get behind the horses again."

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
Robot singing: I love a parade... oh wait, they need a push NOW?!? Sheesh!

Go fast, turn left?
|
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
Even the presence of legally-designed bumpers could not quell the dread the little bot felt as it ventured out onto the New England roadways among the millions of insane drivers who terrorize that region daily.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
Stars and Stripes trekkin, across the universe, only going forward, 'cause we can't find reverse.

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280

Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
Once upon a time, there was a little robot that had a big task. It had to get all the way to the end of the parade. The beginning was easy, so the little blue robot had not trouble at all. Then, it comes upon a big hill. As it begins its way up the hill, it says "I think I can. I think I can. I think I can." It climbs and climbs, until...it runs out of battery. As the rest of the parade leaves it behind, the little blue robot says, "I thought I could. I thought I could. I thought I could."
Moral of the Story: Always Bring Spare Batteries |
Re: CD's Unofficial Caption Contest #280
You claimed that the robot handled everything you threw at it... Did it handle nukes?? ICBM's?? GAU-8 Gatling gun?? Can it handle those??
