LabVIEW "can't find" items when building a source distribution
I was investigating the possibility of Beta Test Team code to be backsaved to LV 8.5 so the rest of us could view it.
The method I was planning on was to create a source distribution, including vi.lib, and then somehow save for a previous version (en masse). (Because I don't have LV 8.6, I would try saving for 8.2. or 8.0) However, I kept running into this problem: LabVIEW says it can't find an item in ~\vi.lib\Robotics Library\NIFPGAInterface\, though when I find it manually, it's exactly where LabVIEW says it should be. Is this a deterrent for people copying items from vi.lib? I'm certainly not interested in manually finding several hundred VIs just to test if the mass-backsave will work. Maybe the best option would be to take that whole robotics library and make it part of the project? |
