Heh -- we do have a Walmart in our town. But the man I saw with the ten foot pole was walking down Comm Ave {a/k/a Commonwealth Avenue} in Boston, across the street from where the Boston competition is held. Don't know why he had it, where he got it from, or what he was doing with it.

And you didn't follow him? :/

Now you have to spend your whole life wondering...

Maybe he was looking for something not to touch with it.

Or maybe he wanted to see what happened if he DID touch it with a 10-foot pole.

And no, I don't think he was looking for some ugly person to poke with it.

Maybe he didn't want to touch the hipsters on the Green Line?

One day you're riding the B Line trolleys, the next you're wearing ironic tees and tight jeans, listening to Dispatch and The Postal (Pole-stal?) Service.

Sorry, you've thinking of the wrong pole. I believe the one you're looking for is 39 and a half feet long.

I was waiting to see who would make the grinch joke first. Looks like Karibou wins.

And took her sweet time to get here. I set the joke up for you yesterday! :)

I probably should have followed the guy, but I was 2 stories upstairs at work and would have had to run around the block to catch up with him. Perhaps it would be better for this to remain one of those Great Mysteries of Life. Like how to make a pole. Speaking of which, did we ever answer Nameo0's question? Remember Nameo0? Something about making a pole?

Yo mama so ugly she's got pock marks all over her from people poking her with ten foot poles!

Ricksta did in post #6 and he also provided a link for how to create a poll in CD.
