You know, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this were true.

Just to take things in a different direction...

What if the game hint is only to get you to focus on the "pins" as so many have called them.

And in fact even Bill in his blog has mentioned pinning the game down. Right Here!

And thinking of pins where do you find "pins"? Bowling.

So now we have bowling or something close... oh whats this?
Robot scoring?!?!? well then Bill is giving a lot of clues. Bill's Post!

and of course the game wouldnt be entertaining to all ages, without some sliding robot action. Bill talks about GDC discussing traction mechanisms on his post here!

So I think the keyword here folks is "Pins"

3days 16hours 58 minutes 30sec left to kickoff

I don't think that this is very vaguely related to the actual game. Remember, the GDC is cruel, but they have given hints that are very direct (but still can be interpreted in many ways). Remember 2008's IR receiver? This very much looks like a field element and it is CADed up, not like a picture or anything. I'm going with that this directly related to the game somehow.

It does kind of look like one of those mini bowling frames, without the bowling pins.
Also whenever I look at this, it reminds me of army camouflage, so maybe something that has to do with army.

I agree. FRC1612's analysis is indeed quite plausible.

Agreed. It dose sound plauseable to be related to bowling in such a maner.

Oh PLEEAAASE no more "regolith." Although since it wouldn't be simulating the lunar terrain, it wouldn't be called regolith.

PLEEAAASE no more semi-bumpy-white-bathroom-wall-lining material! :ahh:

I do have to say that the flooring was very annoying! But if you could score by sliding your robot into some type of game eliminate. That could make things interesting!

I wish a robot stacking bonus is in this years game. :D

Playing on ice=tank treads, because larger surface area contacting the ice would result in easy manuverablity. however this is very unlikely

Not necessarily. You would get more surface area, but at the same time you'd reduce your pressure by the same amount, so the overall traction would remain the same (at least theoretically).

Ok, look at the left hand side, and it doesn't match the right side. Also, what's up with the extra holes on both sides and the front of the lexan?

Hey, alright well my idea I'm sticking with unless kickoff tells me wrong; but i think it is going to have something to do with "go-green". I'm not sure really how the shapes pretain to it quite yet but these games tend to revolve around what is going on in the world right now. Last year "lunar" NASA was really big last year, well right now "go-green" is a big, so maybe we are going to do a game based on anything that revolves around that. Just my input.

Have fun at the kick off everyone see you there. :D
