Team 1011 Ideas

Team Crush recently had it's first brainstorming session, and here are the results. In the spirit of gracious professionalism we plan on opening up as much of our design, build, and programming processes as possible, and posting videos is the first step.

If you have any comments on the video we'd be happy to hear them. Also if you have suggestions on how we can best open our decision making processes to others we'd love to hear those as well.

Nice brainstorming, looks like you're off to a good start :)

The only thing I can comment on is design A+, which is likely to violate <G45> as mentioned in this thread I made: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=79926 Your design should be fine just don't count on using your arm for goal tending.

Look forward to seeing you guys at the regional this year, we were all surprised when CRUSH couldn't make it last year.

Yes we realized our violation of G45 after the video was made, we've since removed the offending parts from our design. :D

We missed all of you at phoenix! But we'll be back this year, stronger than ever and ready to have fun.

http://vimeo.com/8696816 Here's part two of our summary.

In short, we had decided to focus on a defensive robot. Something with an actuated panel that could deflect balls, some sort of fly wheel shooting system, and two arms, with a system of avoiding getting caught on the platform while lifting and allowing other robots to be lifted.
