Java: Image Recognition

I was unable to find any documentation on the implementation of NI Vision Assistant with Java. Will Java have the capabilities of Labview to be able to recognize template images. If this is being added, when will the Java Vision Libraries include Template Recogntion?

The code you need to find the "Target" is under New Project ->Samples->FRC Java->CircleTrackerDemoProject
