The crossfading could have been handled better too, but it wasn't really a deal breaker for me. The lack of variety and mediocre time I was having with my friends made me enjoy it less than 2008. Though the guys from Aces High were cool!

These are the type of responses that can help make the event better. I do agree taht 2008's DJ was better; but hopefully 2010's DJ will be the best

Hopefully we can attend this year and make it a bit better for you again :D . I'll bring up the thought at tonight's meeting as Wednesdays are usually our business oriented meetings.

I don't know what 816's current Championship Situation is, but I know for one I'll try to go to the Robo-Prom if I'm there.

I was supposed to go last year and got sidetracked with some other team functions... (Read as, got too involved in the competition to remember how to have fun... :P)

If we end up in Atlanta this year I and a few friends may come :D

Half the reason I want to get to Atlanta again this year is to attend this! My team didn't know about it until afterward, and we were really disappointed.

So if 1334 qualifies this year, you'll see me and a few other Red Devils there for sure!

Hey everyone, I don't believe Team 20 has ever attended roboprom, but I talked to our head mentor and she was onboard with allowing people to go this year. =D

Quick question, do more people dress up in typical dance clothes (cocktail dresses/nice shirt and slacks) or do more wear funky FIRST inspired costumes?

If we qualify, I'll try to convince my team to go. It was a lot of fun last year :)

On behalf of Team 399, I would like to announce that we will be hosting our 4th Annual RoboProm this year at the National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia. ........

Do you know whether this will be on Thursday or Friday? Our kids want to go again, but we also need to schedule other activities. We are hoping to see a Braves game.

Good luck with the event and Thanks!

I've seen a pretty wide variety from dresses and shirts to trackballs and orbit balls to just team uniforms. It's much less serious in my mind than any real prom (A very good thing!), just a good time.

Hey Kristen, last year most people wore like typical dance clothes but as expected there were some FIRST costumes around. You guys should definitely show up :P

On another note...It sounds like you're expecting to pull in about $12,000, maybe you should get an AWESOME DJ this year, last year's DJ wasn't that good.

expect the guys from 78 to show up
(used to be 121)

If we get the money to go to Atlanta again, 1557 will most likely be there.

Yeah... after riding in a bus for 19 hours, I really don't want to wear a dress and heels while everyone else is just wearing jeans haha.

The attire for the prom is usually semi-formal. Girls wear dresses and the boys wear black pants and collared shirts.

It certainly isn't as formal as normal prom, but people really don't tend to wear jeans.

But there is NO dress code so feel free to come in a home-made tape dress or a soccer-ball suit :)
