Cypress soc?

Warning: probably really stupid question but whatever. Yes I did search and read the manual. But I am very confused right now.

I'm trying to figure out a use for the psoc that was included with this years kit. It goes into the breadboard and connects to the classmate... you can add your own switches to the breadboard and the DS will read them... okay cool... but what are some other uses of it? I can't think of any  someone please enlighten me

Thanks in advance. This is the first year our school has done it. We have a lot of hurdles to overcome to get this thing working :\

Re: Cypress soc?

Switches, momentary arcade style buttons, LEDs, and potentiometers knobs are some of the typical things that are attached. It is a supplement to the joystick(s).
