ATTN: All New England teams

ATTN: All New England teams

Last year team # 69, along with many others hosted pre-season matchs\Practices just before ship day!!!!!

My question is: How Many teams would be willing to bring there robot back to Quincy MA in order to practice on a full size playing field with other competing robots?

Last year we had about 10 teams and we are trying to figure out how many teams to plan for this year!!!!!!!!

If you are interesed or have any comments or suggestions please contact me at :

I know I'd personally love to go...but I know for a fact that last year I was there until all hours of the night (actually morning!) finishing robot-related things to prepare for shipping that day. I think it may be hard for some teams to guarantee that their robot will be ready for a pre-season competition, though it is a great idea.

Yes, if I remember correctly, that week in February that we were going to ship was when the huge snowstorm blew into New England. Our team was up late on Monday, getting the final preparations ready (we had mounted our robot's arm just two hours before the 5 PM cutoff).

All that hard work, and it turns out the Yellow Freight pickup would not arrive that day. He didn't arrive the next day either. In fact, I think he was postponed to the end of the week because of all the snow downpour.

This year, our team hopes to finish earlier. I hope to see you all in Quincy. :)

Last year,
Quincy was great. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/wwwboard-...2001/5398.html

Even if your robot isn't complete, it will give you a chance to compete with mutiple teams, to see whats good and whats not.

We might be able to go if the robot is complete. I'll bring it up at the next team meeting. Thanks.

If it does happen again and 177 choses to go, I just hope the Bobcats don't get lost from CT to MA again!! I was getting worried about you last season at Quincy :)

Team 61 would love to come back again. This gave us a chance to see other robots and look at the game in a different way. Hope for good weather.

bobcats made it from South Windsor to Quincy in record time - 4.5 hours :).... and there was barely any traffic... i swear the bus driver was going by dead reckoning

I think that's a great idea. I'll bring it up to the Nu-trons when we meet. Of course this is all dependent on if we get things wrapped up with a day to spare :D, like other teams have mentioned
