Motor resistance

Do you think a CIM motor or window motor can hold an axle that holds 2 robots with out breaking?

P.S. sorry for the bad english, I'm from Israel :)

Re: Motor resistance

The CIM will "back drive" when no current is applied, unless some mechanism to prevent this is implemented. I don't believe the window motor will back drive, but I do think you could potentially over-stress it. Consider a separate braking/locking mechanism.

yoav,
The CIM motor does not handle side loads. You will need to add external bearings to hold the weight you are suggesting in addition to some form of lock to prevent the robots from dropping when disabled.
