possible sprocket problem
Hello everyone...
Tonight we were working on a prototype that were building to test things out on and we may have found out that the sprockets that came in the kit of parts are wrong for the chain that was supplied. The chain is the same as in years past and works on older sprockets. but either the sprockets are cut wrong or have a different pitch.I'm writing to see if any other teams have this problem and if anyone has contacted FIRST about it. |
Re: possible sprocket problem
Hank,
Are you using a spacer? If not the chain might be hitting the hub of the wheel which keeps it from going into the sprocket all the way. This makes it seem as though the pitch is off. Dan |
Re: possible sprocket problem
Hello...yes it was a spacer....scared us for a moment but until we found that out we really thought it was a problem.
