Windriver license has expired

Hey guys I'm from team 21 and our windriver work bench license went out on our lap top and we just uninstalled windriver from our lap top and now we are looking for a new way to get a new windriver workbench back on our lap top, some people are saying put the old cds back in and install it but someone else did it and it was actually their x64 i don't know what to do cause i'm the new programmer can someone help? thanks team 21 :D

The Getting Started guide for the 2010 development platform reveals all:

At the installer - Choose Activation Type screen, select "Permanent activation' and click browse.



Browse to the DVD-R138732.1-1 directory and select FirstRobotics_2010_install.txt file. Click

Open. No internet connectivity is required to obtain your product activation file

(FirstRobotics_2010_install.txt).

This is what bit us at first too. Re-installing just the IDE portion of Wind River should be enough for the new license file to take hold.

EDIT: Can we make this or another one of the activation issue threads a sticky? It seems to be a common occurance. Teams should really use the search feature, though...
