Downloading Default Code Fails
Hi all,
We switched to Java after our errors with C++. We re-imaged and reformatted the cRIO to the Java environment, with the v19 image and all updates on the usfirst.org site at this time. We tried downloading several different default programs, including EnhancedIO, SimpleRobot, IterativeRobot. While downloading, we get this log: Code:
init:Anyone have any ideas on the subject? |
Re: Downloading Default Code Fails
The only luck we've had is with the DefaultCode template. We could not get SimpleRobot or IterativeRobot to work. With all 3, we were able to load code onto the robot, but only with DefaultCode were able to get a joystick to make a motor turn. And, even with DefaultCode, we could only make things work when hardwired from the developer PC to the cRio. We're trying to figure out how to get things to work with the router and bridge.

Re: Downloading Default Code Fails
At the end of the day, we did get the DefaultCode template to work in a wireless configuration (wireless router and wireless bridge). Don't even bother trying to work with the SimpleRobot template or the IterativeRobot template. Not sure what's wrong, but they just don't seem to work as is. The DefaultCode template worked as is.
Of course, we did make sure that the side car was plugged into Slot 4 on the cRio and that we had a motor connected to PWM 1, 2, 3 or 4 on the side car. Based on error messages, it seems like watchdog is not pre-configured in the SimpleRobot or IterativeRobot templates. |
