webcam with vision assistant
 

hey i'm trying to get a webcam working with the vision assitant. i just want to be able to test out code and algorithms without having to connect it to the cRIO.

i saw this old forum post, which says the same thing (http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=78375).

i've installed http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1524/lang/en (not sure if this is actually relevant as i dont think we have a license for this)

i also installed http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/5030 which seems more promising... although they say that this is included already in the newer vision assistants...

it seems like in vision assistant i should be able to acquire images from a "USB device" (which would see all directshow devices)... but i don't have that option to select.

any ideas about what to do? anyone else trying to do this?
