Suggestions

Hey all,

Does anyone have any suggestions for good cylinders to deliver a quick pneumatic punch? Currently our team is developing a system that uses a larger cylinder to compress a spring that will be locked and released to deliver energy. IMHO, I think it would be 10x better simply to use a cylinder.

Also, I saw a team using a cylinder that had a long length and a short diameter to use as a shooter on YouTube. Does anybody have any idea what that might be/where I could get one?

Thanks

Probably a standard 2" short stroke (2-3") cylinder from Bimba ( www.bimba.com ). They may have locked a longer cylinder to get a shorter stroke with a higher pressure (due to Cv)

Please be absolutely certain to read the rules; only certain pneumatic components are allowed, if you use components that are not allowed you will not be able to compete.

We are using a 1.5" bore x 10" stroke pneumatic cylinder to reset our prototype kicker. The kick is delivered by using the latex tubing included in the kit of parts.
