Team 340 Almost done?

Here's a video we took in week 2. Looks like we're almost done.

What do you think?

good to see that Roxanne is still working. Hopefully it can make another Einstein appearance this year :-)

Looks good enough for you to bring it to Rochester Rally for driver practice. So no excuses this year, right?!? :p

It was really cool, as a mentor, to drive a robot that I helped design in 2004 as a student. Amazing that is still worked after sitting in the school loft since 2004 Championships.

Looks great for going over the bump. How is it on turns?

Our 2004 robot would not make it over the hump because it was so top heavy.
Roxanne is perfect for this year.

Cool drive train, but it appears as though the robot will fall on its front end.

Hope you cover the top so you don't have possession of a ball.

I thought that robot looked familiar...

I think they will have to worry about alot of other things before possession of the ball with this one, such as converting it to the c-rio from the old system. The rules about being built before build season, change in overall size of the robot, Different motors, etc

Basically alot has changed since 2004 when this robot was built :D

seems pretty good, but it looks prone to tipping. Our robot seems to go over the bump faster and smoother though, and we have the basic 4 wheel setup

We did put the cRIO in this her. I think we will have problems with the other things though. There isn't a single legal motor in this robot, and yes everything on this was built before the build season started... Actually everything (except the new electronics) was built before any of our students were in high school.

Some little bird convinced me to dig Roxanne out and test the drive system to see how it would work for this year's game.

Ohh, so this is an old robot, didn't know that at first, omit my last message.
I would imagine it has influenced the design in this years robot?

Can't go wrong basing your build on a robot that made it to Einstein.
