Yet another FP pinion thread; 15 or 16 tooth?

Ok, so I must be getting old. I've searched and searched, but found no mention of this issue so far.

Team 3185's FP motors have 15 tooth pinion gears. Obviously, that doesn't work out so hot when you try to run them through the FP transmissions, which want 16 tooth pinioned motors.

The KOP checklist lists the motors as having 16 tooth pinions. I've checked over and over and over, and these are this teams FP motors (rookie team, no old motors to get confused over). No one else seems to have this problem, so I'm concerned that I've got something very mixed up.

So, like, what gives? Is this really the only team to get 15 toothed pinions? Did I miss a really obvious update? Could it really have taken me this long to look at these motors close enough to notice?

Like I said, I think I'm getting old. This seems improbable, yet here I am. Someone want to clue me in and make me feel silly for not figuring this out on my own? I'll be calling FIRST tomorrow, but maybe someone clever then I has a quick answer...

Andy,

Here's an earlier thread about the tooth problem you are talking about. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...light=15+tooth

I believe most teams got the 15T gear. Do you guys have access to a CNC machine? You could cut your own plates really easy.

See? I'm so lame with these search thingies.

No, not much access to CNC. I'll just have to lay it out the old fashioned way. Glad to know I'm not the only one to have this issue.
