joystick reference numbers

We put a program into our robot, and only one side of our drive system is working. The other joystick is not running the other side as it should.

I think the problem may be that I did not differentiate between mutliple joystick reference VIs. Can you use multiple ones? How does labview tell them apart when I "get" them in another place?

Thanks!

Re: joystick reference numbers

Use the same text name as input to the RefNum Registry Set and Get vi's. Use two different names for the two different joysticks.

The Joystick Read SubVI only uses Joystick 1. You can change it to return references to both joysticks if you like, though that's a little cumbersome unless you're already familiar with how to work with SubVIs. It would probably be easier to ignore it and just use a Joystick Get for each of the two joysticks.
