Pictures of official ball

For teams that have the official ball, would you mind taking a few pictures of it using the AXIS camera against a green carpet and posting them here? Our team doesn't have it, and I want to test out my vision code.

Thanks.

Your program shouldn't have any problem picking up the official ball vs another ball.

It has no problem picking up an all-white ball, and I think the real ball will be easier to detect because it's more glossy, hence brighter. What I'm worried about are the stripes. I'll test on Monday with a soccer ball that has some black on it, just to see if the code works.

The official ball is striped?

The tricky thing is the lighting. Competition lighting varies and is extremely bright. At the Championship, all bets are off.

Yes, this threw a lot of teams off during Rack N Roll championships, I believe, so you definitely want to take varying lighting into consideration.

Depending on how you are tracking the ball, a glossy ball combined with the bright competition lighting may make it more difficult to locate not less.

Just something to think about.
