That thrust bearing looks like something you'd find in a TurboHydramatic 400 transmission

I've seen that before was a result of dry firing a catapult in '08.

I doubt that cable would snap with just a robot hang. Either suspension or winched kicker.

No, their robot was too big so they had to winch it down like an industrial corset.
