Team 2871 so far...The only problem with this so far is that the kicker is hitting the roller's shaft

Any suggestions?

We had a similar problem. We added a thick rubber stop so it didn't swing too far forward.

As suggested, a stopper, plus perhaps a longer foot (which appears to go under)?
