:(

They're closer to 17 1/2.

The actual tunnel should be 17.5" tall.

Oh wow, close fit!

I know how frustrating it will be if it isn't 18", as our robot is around 16" and barely fits. (So i guess it is a little taller)

Gl with the robot.

Our robot is exactly 17.5". We may want to shorten it half an inch or so since field dimensions may vary.

We're trying to make it over the hump with mechanum wheels. Hopefully we won't have to use the tunnels.

Our mecanum has no problems whatsoever going over the bump, from a full stop, or from a barrel across the field (although with any kind of wheels, it gets scarier the faster you go). And this was with the electronics zip tied down and the battery restrained with bungee cords. You should be fine.

and what is wrong with using a bungee cord as a battery restraint? we used a modified bungee for our restraint (combined with a molded lexan pan, carpet padding, and an aluminum frame rail)
