Our bot can climb "the hump" and go through the tunnel. We're waiting for our bumpers and need to put a cover on the top. We're paranoid about putting the updates on the control system as we've been reading horror stories about errors. We're a rookie team and don't need the issues this close to shipping. Getting nervous but we'll get to the prom on time! (hopefully):ahh:

Things aren't perfect,
I wish we'll solve all the problems and send the best robot like we are planning.

Our bot... is a partially assembled chassis.
We designed in Solid Works before hand, so it's not like we're at square one or anything. We have the plans and the pieces, we just have to put it together.

No robot is ever finished :) we are still modifying our 2008 robot.
We are working on the robot as we speak and eating spaghetti lol (we've had pizza for how many days in row???).

Well we are close but i must admit a few more days would help, but i think all teams could use a few more day...

I know what it's like. The first half of the build season was almost purely lasagna. Now it's pizza 3 out of 5 days.

The robot itself is going...well....not amazing :P. The programmers have been waiting for the frame for 2 weeks, electronics have been mounted and taken off way too many times, and we spent all of today changing the basic frame...still, the robot will definitely be done for tuesday

After being forced out of our lab for 13 days, we have made a TON of progress over the last 5 days. Things are really coming together. With the new holding allowance, we are making plans to hold back most of our robot for tweaking and refining before the VA regional.

Our robot is driving around, kicking balls, and 89% functional...
we are working on an autonomous mode as we speak, and finishing up the last touches on all the mechanisms...
the hing that needs the most attention is our wiring, which is a rats nest right now :\
we had to switch out 4 spikes in a row today, because they mesteriously ALL went bad...all 4 were the compresor controll spikes...weird.

but it is coming together nicely...

Robot 1 is done, and is in programming's hands.

Robot 2 just finished painting all the parts, now all we have to do is assemble, chain, and wire everything.

So far the programmers have gotten all wheels spinning, pneumatics kicking, and boxes turning. Just down to optimizing the code.

we drive kick, dribble, fit through the tunnel. we need to tune the kicker, make our roof, and put bumpers on, but other than that we are done

our team is almost done the beilding must steal we have a lot of work.
we have working kicker that works great and dribbler
and we working now about the lifting

write here more posts about your team even if the title not really true. XD

Some of the updates are required to compete and it'd probably be wise to test them out before you arrive at competition and are forced to update.

Are you sure you just didn't blow the fuse? Remember the compressor spike needs a breaker not a fuse.

I volunteered last year at an event where I had to update many, many team's cRIOs and DSes for them, since they had not done so. It takes a lot of time (for various reasons, up to 20 / 30 minutes if things went wrong) and you'll get the same updates everyone else has, just later and with a required code reload. PLEASE upload code updates. They often don't cause errors.

Four days left, and our robot is coming along beautifully. We (the programmers) have the practice bot and only have a few bugs to work out, and electrical has the comp bot just about wired up. Can't wait for the first competition! :D
