Ours has always been Burn-E (like Wall-E) because we are the Burning magnetos. But we are thinking about going with a penguins of Madagascar theme and naming ours Rico this year.

As you can see, most of the names have something to do with either cards or airplanes, going along with the Aces High theme...Although some are just random names, and some have real names but then acquire nicknames, as is the case with Ace.

Oh, and for 2010, we've actually yet to pick an *official* name. :ahh:

We still haven't picked a name for our 2010 bot; votes are currently split between Captain Falcon and Excalibur. I'm pushing for Captain Falcon. :D

Our robot's name this year is ButtKicker 2010 edition. Just kidding, but the real name is equally bad...uh.... I love my robot, team, and country, but the name is just horrible. I wanted to name it Sqanto, but the team leaders (majority girls) decided on Elenor Dante Rigby 3.0. :rolleyes:

aha this isn't the official name but once we made the treads we named it the KILLDOZER nut the reference to kill was in it so our mentors said no, I think it's the FIRST Tank or the Magic Tank ?? lol

While mounting electronics, we came up with Ultimate Skippy Robot of Doom. It was originally going to be skippy because some drive train problems made the robot do something akin to skipping and I just tagged on 'Ultimate - Robot of Doom' to the end as a joke and everyone liked it. I'm not sure if it's official though.

This is our first year so we didn't have any predefined themes but after reading everyone else's response it sounds like a good idea to have one. If we do decide to have one I'll push Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy until it can be pushed no more. Hello Petunia!
