Ours is always Stitch ___ because we're from Hawaii...so we go with something people will recognize. So this year is Stitch 5 ^.^

In years past, our robot has been called the "Black Knight"... now the team members are called "Black Knights".

07-08 was the Faustinator, after our teacher-mentor Mr. Faustine. 08-09 was Warditron, after Ms. Ward. This year...has yet to be decided...

We are the Dirty Birds and we thought this years bot looked like a bomb bot so we came to calling it the "Dirt" Locker from the Hurt Locker!

Our school mascot is the Astros, after Alan Shepard, who went to our school. So this year we really wanted to emphasize that in our spirit, and it just sorta happened that our robot was space capsule shaped, so we have named our robot the Freedom 8 (Shepard's capsule was the Freedom 7)

2009: Otis - in honor of Elisha Otis, of elevator fame. So named because of our ball elevator. The ball collector was "Hoover"

2010: Tommy - As in "Pinball Wizard". So named because of the plunger device in the ball kicker and the way our kicker "foot" resembles a bumper on a pinball machine. The mechanism that charges the kicker, fires it, releases the lift cable/mast and drives the winch (four separate functions) is the "Quadrophenia Device". However, once we installed the roll cage it got a second nickname - the Crusty Crab. There is a picture in "Robot Showcase" under "1918 NC Gears Week 5 Pictures"

Team TnT 280 has decided to permanately name the robot/s after one of our Founding Mentors - Jim Vandette - Mr. Vandette passed away Monday 2/15/10 after a long battle with cancer. So to honor our fallen hero we will be naming the robot for 2010 "Vandettenator 1"

We've named our bot Ellis, in memory of our late programming mentor, Dave Ellis.

We always have such long names for our bot (with the exception of last year, MadBot).

This year's robot: Kelly "The Beckham" Guitelman
named in memory of two friends of the team from our school who passed away last year, Jordin Kelly and Josh Guitelman.

And it's soccer this year, so who better to emulate that David Beckham? :p

Team 2333 from Sapulpa...

This year the robot name is CTRL+ALT+DELETE because we have decided to be computer themed this year :) That means our team name is now the Blue Screen of Doom and our motto is "You have encountered a fatal error."
