During our second to last meeting (after losing 10 days to snow) we decided that we still needed to name the robot.

The 5 step program for naming a robot:

Step 1: boy or girl? "well it kicks balls; so it's a girl" (exact quote from a student)

Step 2: funny event or reference involving this? "Well Meghan kicked Carlton..." (Both students on team, thankfully an accident :rolleyes: )

Step 3: someone attempts to write "Meghan" on the robot but fails miserably with handwriting and writes "megHan"

Step 4: "megHan" is stuck on robot forever in Sharpie...

Step 5: Acceptance. "I guess it's megHan"

GAMEOVER!!!!!!!.... is the name of our robot for 2010. Check out our hanging video on the robot showcase.
2009: Crimson Chaos (crimson paint job and red cathodes)
2008: Reign Of Terror (AKA "Reign Of Error")
2007: E-Wing (engineering wing at the school)
2006: Clementine (like the orange)

2898's Roll cage makes the whole bot kinda like a big blue turtle...
So naturally we named our Leonardo. 1510's is red and named theirs Raphael, we just need an orange and a purple bot!

our robot's name seems to be Otis Jr. because of the success of last year's robot (whose name was Otis.) They also both share the same blue paint color.

Well We havent been thinking of a name much but i do think that a strong name has an impact on how you will do

Ours is called GAGABot! The team wanted to name it as a "tribute-bot" to Lady GaGa. Why? I am definitely clueless on that one!

06: No name just a robot.
07: Fire Pig
08: Walrus Pig
09: Bacon Delivery Pig (BDP)
10: Bacon Strips

We enjoy our names here at bacon good luck at competition

Last year was Romar Mod 6 after our programmer Enmar.

This year it's Michelangelo after our mentor Mike.
:D

2008: Rusty (because absolutely everything except the kit frame was made of steel, the judges absolutely LOVED that! ::safety:: )
2009: PEZZ (the balls were stored vertically and shot out one at a time, and the whole thing was a rectangular prism. Named after the candy, but with another z to avoid copyright issues)
2010: Still undecided! perhaps 'Patar' because our resident welder, Patrick, did an AMAZING job making custom parts this year!

The name of the team 501 robot is "Boomdeyada" because our 2009 robot was featured in the Discovery Channel Boomdeyada commercial.
