Bosch Motor?

We have a Bosch motor that needs to pull back a kicker for competition. It has a model number 1395106 and another number on the round part: 8934
Is there a page with specs on it and limitations, etc. We think we damaged one in pulling back a kicker that had ~50-60 pounds of force resisting it and added another one. We don't want to damage the other one (as it is the last one we have) by pulling back too much.
Thanks in advance

Re: Bosch Motor?

I'm pretty sure it didn't come in the KOP. If it didn't, under <R52>, you can't use it. Therefore, you don't need the spec sheet.

I think it came in a past KOP. I think it's allowed because of that (either that or our president doesn't know what he's talking about)

Re: Bosch Motor?

It's not allowed, sorry.

<R52> Motors specifically permitted on 2010 FRC ROBOTS include:
A. All motors, actuators, and servos listed in the 2010 KOP,
B. An unlimited number of COTS servos with a maximum output torque of 55 oz-in and
maximum rotational speed of 100 rpm at 6 Vdc (e.g. HITEC model HS-322HD or HS-325HB
servos, as provided in the KOP),
C. An unlimited number of FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) servos (HITEC HS-475HB servos),
D. One, two, or three additional 2½” CIM motors (part #FR801-001 and/or M4-R0062-12) in
addition to those provided in the KOP. This means that up to five, and no more, 2½” CIM
motors can be used on the ROBOT.
E. Identical one-to-one SPARE PARTS for motors, actuators, and servos provided in the 2010
KOP that may have failed or become damaged.

I'm going with the latter. See the definition of KOP.

Also, <R52> and <R53-A>:

<R53> Items specifically PROHIBITED from use on the ROBOT include:
A. Electric motors and/or servos different from, or in addition to, those in the KOP, with the exception of those specifically permitted by Rule <R52>.
The last time a Bosch drill motor was provided was 2004.

Re: Bosch Motor?

OK, a clarification. The BOSCH motor is illegal. The motors we were replacing it with are the window motors... Which are not illegal, because they were in this year's KOP.

Sorry for the panic, everyone.
