wiring help
hi all
i have a problem. well two of them. the first one is i dont know what the cable looks like that connects the solenoid to everything. the second is my team doesnt understand the meaning of team work. any solutions for both of them. thx |
Re: wiring help
Solenoid connections?
There should be some cables in your kit that look like PWM cables, except with 2 connectors. If you are using the 2010 KOP solenoids, you can connect the input of the Solenoid board to the 24vdc supply for the cRio, if you are using 12v solenoids you can connect to the 12vdc supply. If you are using the 2010 KOP solenoids, you should be able to connect one end of the cable directly to the solenoid and the other end directly to the Solenoid board. It should fit. You need two cables, since the KOP solenoid is a double solenoid. I don't know about your teamwork problem. Sorry. |
Re: wiring help
thanks that helped out a ton.
any other advice would be welcome. thx |
Re: wiring help
Teamwork problems... Hmm...
Promote synergy? (like a boss) |
Re: wiring help
take a hollow aluminum block, 1"x3"x2'6", custom fit a hand sanded handle from a solid block of wood, and promote teamwork with it

Re: wiring help
In my opinion, if someone isnt working...send them home thats exactly what my team does. see how your team reacts to you saying that if anyone isnt working, they get sent home

(Then we toured Diamond Moba, a company that makes industrial egg-handling robots, and they had really really big pieces of that stuff, like 12"x3" cross-section several feet long. I wonder how that would work as a whip...) |
Re: wiring help
I prefer pool noodles. We have plenty extra (we found a good deal and decided to stock up for a few years), they're light weight, make a good "thwack" when they make contact, don't inflict permanent injury. The person you target gets the point... and the "thwack" reminds everyone else in the room while your at it :)

Re: wiring help

Re: wiring help
Our team has discovered (the hard way) that PWM cables are very painful. We also use pool noodles.
