Labview and CRIO Conflict

So today we were attempting to deploy our LabView code to our robot. We have been building and waiting for the supplies for the past time we've had so we have had little time to play with the coding. I've taken an old code from last year and loaded it up to the current mini laptop and changed it how we needed it to be. So it's an old code that has been edited, after fixing what errors there were we thought it would work.

Also, we have our CRIO updated to the current V20, using the imagery tool to apply the needed update. That was successful so we thought we could load the code. I built the coding as needed and then attempted to deploy the coding. It got through a lot of it but part way through an error popped up. it said that the current versions are incompatible. Our LabView is updated to 8.6.1 and we tried numerous things to fix it.

We tried re-updating the CRIO, moving the coding to a new, fresh project as well as making it for LabView 8.6.1. Two of our mentors as well as myself have been trying everything possible to fix this issue. We've spent quite some time on the issue and are in a dire need of help. We need to find out why they are incompatible so we can load and test code. Any advice or help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Labview and CRIO Conflict

So, creating a new default LabVIEW project and "build", then "Run as startup" do not successfully download to the cRIO?
If you can take a screen shot of the error message and post that to help us.

What versions are displayed on the Driver Station Diagnostics tab for:
  • DS Version
  • cRIO Image
Check the version of LabVIEW too under Help -> About FIRST Robotics Competition Software...

Re: Labview and CRIO Conflict

Ok, well last night after I had to leave for class one of the mentors found the issue. One of them being an incorrect IP address and another being that a important tool in LabView could not detect the the CRIO. Upon fixing both issues after several hours of searching we managed to fix both issues. So the issue is resolved.
