Camera not working

For some reason, the camera doesn't work. The camera's IP is still 192.168.0.90, we ran Setup Axis Camera, so there's an account on it with username and password FRC/FRC. We installed all the updates for Wind River up to 4.3, Labview up to 2.1, and Driver Station up to 1.1. We tried to use the unmodified Vision Demonstration code, but nothing happened in the Dashboard. We've reinstalled everything, including Wind River, but it still doesn't work. The camera is the only thing we're having trouble with. What should we do?

Also, whenever we try to ping the camera's IP, it says "Destination net unreachable". Is this normal?

I'm assuming you are doing a ping from the drive station to the camera which is connected to port 2 on the cRIO. In this case I would expect the ping to fail as the cRIO doesn't forward packets from port 1 to port 2. Besides ping failing, what other symptoms do you see that lead you to believe the camera isn't working?

Well, the only symptom I can think of is that no image displays on the dashboard, even with the 2010ImageDemo.

Ok, could be a number of things. Do you have a console, either wired or netconsole attached to the cRIO to see if there are any errors or if the camera task is dying?

If you connect the camera to a PC with IP 192.168.0.xx where xx is anything but 90, and you use a browser to connect to http://192.168.0.90 do you see a live image from the camera? If so then you know the camera is working so then you need to look at the code.

Also I assume the LEDs are lit on the ports on the cRIO when the camera is plugged in and the light around the lens of the camera is green?

Re: Camera not working

Never mind, I fixed it by changing the camera's subnet mask from 255.255.255.0 to 255.0.0.0.
