Dashboard Data Types Dont Match
 

Hi I am from a rookie team this year and i am just making the final modifications to our code before ship date. I have over the last few days made multiple modifications to the Dashboard project. To do this i have been editing the DashboardDataType.ctl file in the robot project, updating the file in the build dashboard.vi. Then to make the dashboard sync with the robot project i copy the new DashboardDataType.ctl file into the Dashboard project and add indicators to the new values. This has worked multiple times. But today when i do this i still get a data types do not match error. I am planning to reinstall some of the more recent updates and i will try reverting to some older code, but is there any variables i am overlooking or any advice that anyone can give?

would you mind explaining what you did to fix the problem? I am having the same problem, and am lost on how to fix it. I was following the NI example of modifying the dashboard, but I still get the error. Thanks.

Found my mistake. I had placed a gyro set reference instead of a get reference. even though the Build dashboard vi was broken, it never warned me. Interesting.
