Finale Rules Check
 

I am looking at the most recent issue of the rules section 7 rule <G34>. This seems to state that during the finale robots are allowed to actively defend the opposing team from nearing their tower, but must stop once that team has reached the tower. Is my interpretation of this rule correct?

Yes, and it's even more complicated than that. Put simply, you can try to stop a team from getting to the tower all the way until the end of the game if you're careful, but it's a really risky strategy. Way too easy to get a penalty.
