'No Code' when using Camera
Recently we updated our DS, Labview files and Windriver library to the latest versions offered by FIRST. Since then however, we have not been able to get the camera to run. Whenever we try to run a code that uses any Vision object the DS will get communications to the cRio but it will say that there is 'No Code' in the robot. That is, we will download the .out to the robot, and then after a reset the robot will regain communications but on the DS the light next to Robot Code will remain red and will say No Code.
This happened for the standard Vision2010 example as well. We have checked that our FRC_UserProgram.out is on the cRio, but for some reason it isn't starting up. Any ideas? (note: this seems similar to the issue with the DashboardLCD Object earlier in the season. But I have not heard any one else say that they have a similar problem.) Thank you in advance for any assistance. |
Re: 'No Code' when using Camera
Version 4.2 had problems with the camera, 4.3 was released a few days ago to fix that.

Re: 'No Code' when using Camera
4.3 did NOT fix this issue on my cRIO.
Not only does the camera cause this issue but so do the DriverStationLCD, and other DriverStation classes. I REALLY need this to work so I can debug my code before ship date. Help! |
Re: 'No Code' when using Camera
Are you using the NetConsole? It's been a big help for us this year debugging problems. You can watch the program crash in real time, and get some clues as to what's going on (especially if you scatter some printf's or cout's in your code).
The biggest "gotcha" is that the ini file that you have to edit MUST be uploaded so that it used Unix end-of-line characters. I recommend Notepad++ for making the edits and Filezilla for the FTP transfer. |
