LEDs on the Cypress PSoC

if anyone else is trying to use the cypress PSoc... we found out the hard way that you need to have the driver station IO in advanced mode. otherwise that functionality remains disabled.

to change it, on the driver station goto IO > configure > select enhanced

hope that helps anyone else who needs it

You should be able to use it in compatibility mode too. You use the simpler API from last year, and it autoconfigures to 8 in and 8 out. I duplicates the outs to the LEDs, and you only get 4 analog inputs.

I posted a few days ago about this, so I'm glad someone's tried it. We've been using the compatibility mode so far and it hasn't worked at all, but when our electrical guy gets here and they let me have the robot for a few minutes I'll tell you if there are any results.
My question is, does the dashboard save the enhanced setting, or do you have to change it every time you turn on the Classmate?

The dashboard saves many settings including the I/O settings. It will load and use them the next time it is run.

Mkay, good. As it turns out when we tested the cypress on another computer it responded fine, but it does not do so on our classmate. We're currently formatting it.
