[FTC]: lego identification

Hello,

Does anyone know how to identify the lego parts for our bill of materials? Is there a website that I can go to? Is there anything special that I have to do for the bill of materials?

Thanks

the Bricklink Catalog is outrageously complete and uses standard LEGO part numbers.
