I agree. Where did our freedom to create aesthetically pleasing robots go?
I say we use flags again! Not like determining who was on which alliance anyway was so difficult!

i HATE flagpoles lol... but on the otherhand, this is an awesome pic, and an awesome record! and you should make black bumpers for it anyways :) and that kicker looks fiercely scary!

Ahh, But what do you hate more, derisory flagpoles or color controlled bumpers?
Although, If red and blue is reflective to the identity of your team I guess it wouldn't matter.

I'm hoping someone from team 100 who was on the team in 2007 will read this... and remember Davis Eliminations when 100 had ringers on their flag pole TWICE, not their fault, but horrible luck. We then took it off and continued to be amazed by Tube-a-saurus.

I was operator in 2007! :D Those were the days man! :D

So many fond memories from 2007! 100, 997, and 1458 was one of the greatest alliances ever. The teamwork that year between the three of us was unprecedented, and the elimination matches were simply phenomenal!

That may have been one of the last all student alliances to take home the gold... :(

Probably one of my favorite competitions, I have no clue how I ended up with it, but I have a team 100 hat on my wall from that year(a team 100 parent was giving them out to us and 997 I think)

I agree that bumpers are making the robots look not so nice this year. I wish they would go back to the days of the big red and blue lights of 2003 and beyond. Or instead use 4 12" cathodes. Two red and two blue. Flags were a pain and got stuck/came out, those little LEDs from 2004, 05, and 08 were really small to determine alliances quickly.

But that is still one great robot and will live up to the 100 name! Good luck!:]

Team 2073 would like to think that we contributed to your victories last year with that magnificent sticker on the side of the robot.

And we would like to thank you for it! :D

If your team prints cool stickers we'd be much abliged to stick them on the bot.

My favorite is the 190 "No Worries" sticker on the back of Ballfrog's lift which appears each time it hurdles; a pleasant reminder to our drivers in the heat of combat :)
