Ship off day is tomorrow and we3 r nowwhere close 2 getting our pneumatgics working please help.:ahh:

Re: pneumatics help
Honestly, your best bet is to explain in detail what you want to do, what you have so far, and what exactly we can help you with - here. Be detailed for the fastest answers.

Re: pneumatics help
okay our problem is the complete wiring of the pneumatics... First we are using the festo valve which retracts the actuator automatically after being used. The compressor is already setup to work manually with the valve... however we don't know how to integrate the compressor into the electronics so that it works on its own and stops and 115psi with the pressure switch/regulator...
Conclusively the wiring for the direct operation of the compressor on its own is needed. and the activation of the festo valve independently with the joysticks.. We dont know were to connect the parts into...not sure weather to use spikes.. or the pneumatics bumper... I code for the programming we will use the samples provided... and after identification of what parts are needed were are they needed to obtain power and be triggered... |

I tried emailing you, but it came back with an error. How can I help out? I fought the pneumatics battle last week with my team.
edit: I guess I should have refreshed before I posted.. give me a sec to read! Ok, yeah, you need to wire the solenoids to the pneumatics bumper. The attached picture shows how you open them in begin.vi, and from the enum variables you can establish where to plug things in |
Re: pneumatics help
The post above explains our problem please help.... in the most detail I could

Re: pneumatics help
Can you please explain how to wire the individual parts to each other, such as festo valve, pressure valve, and connections to sidecart, and spikes. pleae

Re: pneumatics help
Ok, so the compressor needs to be connected to a spike that's connected to the power distribution board with a 30 amp fuse. Connected to that spike should be a PWM cable going to the sidecar's relays. We used number #1. Then, the pressure switch should be connected to the sidecar's DIO, where we used #2.
It should automatically work once you get that code in there. The compressor needs a blowoff valve on one side, and on the other side, it needs to go to the pressure switch and bleeding valve. You can t off that and go into the tanks. Hook the tanks up to the solenoids (one side or two side, by the way?) The solenoids can either have their own spike, but its much cleaner to use the relay/pneumatic module as we did. Just plug each side into any slot on it. |
Re: pneumatics help
what is the DIO... and can you please further explain connections to Crio and sidecart... can you direct us to any schematics??? we have all the compressor components assembled but where do we connect the pressure gauge valve located next to the leakage/release valve

DIO = Digital Input/Output
I've attached a schematic that was included with a sample VI for LabVIEW |
Re: pneumatics help
we got the compressor set up can you help with festo valve....wiring and the psi monitor that shut offs the compressor..can you help please....:(
|
Re: pneumatics help
I'm somewhat confused. Do you need help with the compressor, or the solenoids?
|
Re: pneumatics help
we just figured out the compressor we just need help with the gauge that stops the compressor when it reaches 115psi for safty and the solenoid the one by festo that retracts automatically after being activated....please help

Re: pneumatics help
Quote:
The switch needs to be wired to Digital Input number 1, and the spike needs to be wired to relay number 1. LabVIEW reads the switch on the digital input, and turns on the relay as needed. |
Re: pneumatics help
do you know how the labview to this should look more or less?
