Re: pneumatics help
ok yea this very confusing to us... can you explain with a little more detail please...

Re: pneumatics help
Ok. So, in labview, open begin.vi. Go to the block diagram, then right click,go to "WPI Robotics Library," then "Actuators," then "Compressor"
Choose the Open VI, and place it below the rest of the code. Right click on the terminals, and go to Create, then Constant. From there, tell labview where things are plugged in. It will ask for the Digital I/O channel and Relay channel, both of which should be one if plugged in correctly. Then, go back to the Compressor group of functions, and choose compressor start. Wire the top and bottom terminals to the start VI. Then, go back to the compressor functions one more time, and choose the RefNum Registry Set function. Wire it up as shown in the screenshot I posted above, then drag down the bottom of the build array block to allow you to wire in one more error. Then you can save your code, and run it from robot main. The compressor should turn on when you enable the robot. |
Re: pneumatics help
well I think I got most of it but one final question about that valve that is next to the pressure gauge were does it go connected I do not understand please explain...
|
Re: pneumatics help
I don't know your specific setup, but if there's a valve that goes nowhere, it's probably the drain valve. You probably won't want to keep the robot pressurized at all times, so opening that valve lets out the pressure.

Re: pneumatics help
yes but next to that valve there is an electronic copper looking things that checks the overall pressure of the system and that has to be wierd to tell the compressor to stop how is that done....??????
