Scouting Information
This thread is intended to be a centralized thread with lots of scouting advice and strategies, to aid new scouters.
I will add actual information when I have time. Help in maintaining this thread would be greatly appreciated. |
Re: Scouting Information
For all rookie (and veteran) teams:
Here is a link with a very useful scouting information database. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...t=836+scouting I would encourage that all teams reiterate how important scouting is, because nobody wants to walk into a match blind. In this scouting database are forms that are used for the pits and another used gameplay. We tend to like quantitative stats versus opinionated stats. We rotate team members through scouting an assigned player station on the field, and also divide up the teams in the pits among 5 or 6 scouts. Often times we have teams of 2 go around the pits and both fill out reports (for quality control). Please let me know if you have any other questions! On a side note, I am interested to see how strategy changes from quals to elims this year. i don't expect much defense during quals, but elims is an entirely different story. -Tim |
Re: Scouting Information
Hello scouting teams,
Team 1086 Blue Cheese robotics has made a easy to use scouting system that is now ready to download with stands and pit sheet, and a instruction text document so that all your questions can be answered. You can download the all inclusive pacage at http://www.1086bluecheese.org/scouting.html. Hopefully this will be able to help all those who are new to scouting or want a new way to scouting. This method does require that you have access to a labtop in the stands or access to one at the end of the day so to record all of the gathered information. If you have any questions about our scouting system or scouting in general please reply to my post send me a private message or email bluecheese1086@yahoo.com. Good Luck and Happy Scouting to all, Blue Cheese Scouting |
